UNO! Mobile Overview October 2026

UNO! Mobile is the official phone and tablet version of the UNO card game, and it’s free on iPhone, iPad and Android. You play live against real people, matching cards by color or number until your hand is empty. Mattel’s own game studio makes it, and it’s been on the App Store since November 15, 2018.

Coins are the main currency, and some modes ask you to put them in. The official Facebook page gives out gift codes, and our UNO! Mobile gift codes page lists them with the date on each one.

Each code below came from the official Facebook page. Tapping a card copies the code for you.

Type each code exactly as it’s shown, capital letters and all. Some codes only work for a set number of players, so try the newest one first.

    How a match works

It's the UNO you know. You match the top card by color or number, and action cards like Skip, Reverse and Draw Two shake things up. When you're down to one card, you have to shout UNO before anyone else does. The app deals the cards for you.

You can stick to the classic rules or switch on house rules. Matches are live, against family, friends or players from around the world.

    Ways to play

    • Quick Play. Tap it and you're in a game with classic rules. It comes with new rewards and events each month.

    • Play with friends. Set your own house rules and play your way with friends or family.

    • 2v2. Team up with a partner. You win when either one of you empties a hand before the other team does.

    • Tournaments. World Series tournaments and special events pay rewards, and leaderboards show who's on top.

    • Go Wild. House rules, two decks and a coin stake. You can win a lot or lose what you put in.

You can also join a club, chat, and send gifts to your friends in the game.

    Coins, diamonds and free rewards

Coins are what you stake in modes like Go Wild, and diamonds are the second currency. You can buy both, but you don't have to. In a reply to a player on the App Store, the studio listed the free ways to earn coins: event rewards, ad offers and the Lucky Ball or Lucky Spin.

There's also a daily wheel to spin for free rewards, and tournaments pay rewards too. The studio also says VIP players don't get anything that puts them ahead of other players.

    What's new this fall

The latest update notes list a lot coming up. A Pet System arrives on October 23. It brings a puppy you can bond with, dress up and take along to your matches. Shiny Cards are rare cards you can catch on weekends once you've collected 140 cards or more.

    • Spooky Storybook. The Halloween event, which Google Play says ends on November 13.

    • UCS Reverse. A contest open to all players with Wild rules, from November 12 to 19.

    • Jolly Journey. A winter season from November 2 to December 27, with the Joliday Journey Canvas from November 16 to December 13.

    Who makes it

Both stores list the developer as Mattel Game Studios HK Limited, and the App Store copyright line is Mattel's. The same studio makes Phase 10, Skip-Bo and UNO Wonder, which is a separate, newer app. Support is at [email protected].

It's updated often. Google Play's last update was October 14, 2026, and the App Store shows version 1.1.5. Google Play also gives it an Editors' Choice badge.

    Age ratings and prices

Apple rates it 4+ and notes ads and in-game chat. Google Play rates it Everyone, and adds that players can talk to each other and that some purchases include random items.

Google Play's Data safety section says the app may share personal and financial info with other companies, that data's encrypted in transit, and that you can ask for it to be deleted.

    Common questions

    Is UNO! Mobile free?

Yes. You can download it free on the App Store and Google Play, though it has ads. You can also buy coins and diamonds. Apple's list of top purchases runs from $1.99 to $19.99. The studio says you don't have to buy anything, and that VIP players get no edge over anyone else.

How do I get UNO! Mobile gift codes?

Watch the official Facebook page. Some go out to everyone in a post that starts with Gift Code, and others go to a few winners of a comment contest. Type a code in Settings, then Gift Code. Our gift codes page shows the public ones as cards.

Is UNO! Mobile OK for kids?

Both stores rate it for everyone. Apple says 4+ and notes ads and chat. Google Play says Everyone, with players who can talk to each other and purchases that include random items. Go Wild uses coins as a stake, so parents may want to look at that mode.

    What is Go Wild?

It's the game's wildest mode. House rules are on, you play with two decks, and you put coins in to join. The store listing says you can win up to 600 times what you put in, or go home with nothing, so only bring coins you can afford to lose.
