Seaside Escape: Merge & Story is a free merge game with a story, for iPhone, iPad and Android. You drag two matching items together to make a better one. Then you use what you make to fix up Kryphos, a seaside village that’s seen better days. Microfun Limited, a studio in Hong Kong, makes it.
The studio hands out free energy links on its Facebook page. Our Seaside Escape free energy page lists them as cards, and each card shows the day it was posted.

Rowan's story
Rowan used to be an actress. Now she's a fallen star, and Kryphos has changed almost beyond recognition in the last five years. You help her get her confidence back and rebuild her life.
You're also helping the people who live there. The game wants them to do more than just get by. Some scenes ask you to choose whether to help someone or walk past. The store listing promises hidden secrets and surprises as you rebuild.
How merging works
The board is covered in items. Drag one onto another that's just like it, and the pair turns into one better item. There are hundreds of items, and the store says you can merge almost anything you can think of.
Characters stand above the board with orders. Each one shows what they want and what they'll pay in coins. Make the item, serve it, and move on to the next order.
Fixing up Kryphos
Places start out run-down. You fix them up bit by bit, and the old, dusty room turns into a bright new one. You also earn decorations as you go. Long-press a decoration to swap it for a different one.
The update notes say there's new content every week: a new location to unlock and a new event to play. The latest version on Apple is 2.7.0, from October 9, 2026.
Energy, coins and gems
Look at the top of the screen. The lightning bolt is your Energy, the gold circle is coins, and the red gem is gems. Customers pay you in coins.
You can win Energy in the studio's Facebook giveaways, or buy it. Apple's top purchases include four Energy Packages from $1.99 to $9.99 and gem packs from $1.99 to $9.99. The studio advertises the game as having no ads.
When a player wrote that orders got too hard to fill without a lot of Energy, the studio replied that the game is meant to let "all players, whether paying or not, to have fun."
Events and the VIP Pass
The event screen has a reward track with two sides. The free side is open to everyone. Next to it is a VIP Pass side with extra prizes. Apple's purchase list has a VIP Ticket for $4.99 and a Luxury VIP Ticket for $7.99.
In late October 2026, the event is Witchwood Hollow. You join Thalia in her dream, in an enchanted home where old magic comes to life. Google Play says it ends November 1.
Giveaways on Facebook
The official Facebook page has 838K followers, and nearly every post is an Energy Giveaway. Each one is a puzzle, like counting the ghosts in a video or spotting what's missing from a picture. Comment your answer and your game ID to enter. The studio later lists the winners in a comment.
Most of these posts finish with a link that anyone can tap. You don't need to win the puzzle to use it, and those links are the cards on our free energy list.

How do I get free Energy in Seaside Escape?
The studio's Facebook page runs Energy Giveaway posts. Comment the answer to the puzzle with your game ID for a chance to win, and tap the link at the end of the post for a gift anyone can grab. Event reward tracks also have a free side you can fill as you play.
Is Seaside Escape okay for kids?
Google Play rates it Everyone, and Apple rates it 9+. Both stores say it has loot boxes, which are prizes you get without seeing what's inside first, and Google says purchases include random items. Real money can be spent in it, so parents may want to set purchase limits.
