Flambé Overview October 2026

Flambé: Merge & Cook is a free cooking game for iPhone, iPad and Android. You merge matching ingredients into better ones, cook them into dishes, and serve those dishes to your customers. What you earn goes into fixing up your restaurant and opening new places. It’s made by Microfun Limited in Hong Kong.

The studio gives away free energy links on its Facebook page. Our Flambé free energy page shows them as cards, with the date on each one.

Each one came from the official Facebook page. They work on the phone or tablet that has your restaurant on it.

How the game works

It starts on a board full of ingredients. Drag one item onto another just like it, and the two turn into one better item. The store listing says you slice, chop and flambé basic ingredients, and the more you merge, the fancier your recipes get.

Then you cook. A dish takes a few ingredients and the right cookware, like a pan. Put them together and you've got a finished plate, such as a meat dish cooked with garlic, butter and greens.

Customers show up at the top of the screen with the dish they'd like. Serve it and the order's done. The little calendar in the top left corner shows what day it is in your restaurant.

Recipes and restaurants

The menu goes all the way from appetizers to desserts. As you play, you unlock new dishes and get better at the ones you already know.

The rest of the game is your restaurant. You design it and decorate it to bring in more customers. Some rooms start out dusty and broken, and you fix them up. Other places start out locked, and you open them up as you go.

Updates keep adding more. The last few each brought new dishes, new ingredients and a new location to explore and fix up. Google Play lists it as a single-player game, and it's tagged as one you can play offline.

Energy, coins and gems

The bar across the top of the screen shows three things. The lightning bolt is your Energy, the gold circle is your coins, and the red gem is your gems. There's a Shop button in the corner too.

You can win Energy and gems from event card sets and from the studio's Facebook giveaways. You can also buy them. Apple's top purchases include gem packs from $1.99 to $9.99, an Energy Package for $5.99 and an Energy Bundle for $19.99.

The studio has said the game is meant to let "all players, whether free or paying, to enjoy the fun." That was in a reply to a player who said they'd had to wait too long between orders.

Events and card sets

Events come and go. Fall 2026 brought Spooktober Scares, a card-collecting event set to end on November 8. Apple says finishing its card sets unlocks Energy, gems and other gifts. The event shows up on both store pages while it's on.

The Facebook giveaways

The official Facebook page has 572K followers, and nearly all of its posts are giveaways. Each one is a small puzzle. You might spot the odd one out, find the missing piece or count the balloons. Comment your answer along with your game ID for a chance to win Energy or gems. Later, the studio names the winners in a comment and asks them to wait for their rewards.

Most of those posts also end with a link to grab Special Gifts. That link isn't part of the contest. The post tells everyone to tap it, and those are the links on our free energy list.

Common questions

Is Flambé free?

Yes. It's free on the App Store and Google Play, and you can play it on a Windows PC through Google Play Games. There's a shop inside the game, though. Apple's list of top purchases starts with a $1.99 Starter Offer and goes up to $19.99 bundles. You don't have to buy anything to play.

How do I get free Energy in Flambé?

Events are one way. Finishing an event's card sets can unlock Energy, gems and other gifts. The studio also runs giveaways on Facebook, where you comment an answer and your game ID for a chance to win Energy. Most of those posts carry a Special Gifts link that anyone can tap.

Is Flambé okay for kids?

Google Play rates it Everyone. Apple rates it 9+ because of contests now and then, and it says the game has loot boxes. Those are prizes you get without knowing what's inside first. You can spend real money in it, so parents may want to set purchase limits before handing it over.

Can I play Flambé on a computer?

Yes, on Windows, through Google Play Games. Google lists Windows 10 (version 2004) or newer, a processor with 4 cores, 8 GB of memory and 10 GB of free space on an SSD. There's no Mac version listed. On Apple, it's an iPhone and iPad game.
