Knights & Brides is a free browser game from Vizor Games, set in a medieval kingdom where you pick one of two roles and then stick with it. Ladies farm, cook and sew. Knights mine ore, forge armor and joust. Neither side can do the other’s job, and that’s the whole point: a Lady cooks the food that keeps a Knight on his horse through a tournament, and he sends the win back to her as fertilizer for her crops.
The game started on Facebook, where it won Best Web Game, and now it runs in HTML5 on Vizor’s own portal. This page covers how it actually plays: the two roles, the energy economy, the courtship system and the event maps that swap out every two weeks. If you’re just here to top up, the Knights & Brides free rubies and energy page has the current links.

What is Knights & Brides?
Vizor Games, the studio behind Klondike: The Lost Expedition, made Knights & Brides as a browser game about building things up and exploring. It started on Facebook and won Best Web Game there, and it now runs on HTML5 canvas through the official Vizor Portal.
Two things run side by side. You've got a permanent home estate that you build up over months, and you visit temporary expedition maps covered in fog that you clear before they close. Around both sits a social layer where you make friends, pick up fans who treat you as an Idol, and eventually get betrothed.
The role you pick once
The first thing the game asks is whether you want to be a Lady or a Knight, and you can't change it later. It sets your buildings, your crafting tree and your job in the social economy. If you want to see the other half, you have to make a second account on the Vizor Portal.
The Lady
Estate and production- Farming and animals
- Cooking in the Kitchen
- Dressmaking in the Fashion House
- Sends dishes to Knights
The Knight
Camp and combat- Clearing the base camp
- Mining ore and forging gear
- Turn based jousting
- Sends dedicated wins to Ladies
The Lady path: estate, kitchen and wardrobe
A Lady runs a farm estate. Wheat, flowers and clover go in the ground on timers, and chickens and cows give you milk and eggs.
That's what feeds the Kitchen, and the Kitchen is where the role earns its keep. Cooked dishes top up your own energy, and you can hand them to Knight players to boost their stats before a tournament.
Fixing up the Fashion House unlocks dressmaking. A finished dress isn't just for show: wearing one gives you a permanent Glory boost on social visits.
The Knight path: ore, forge and the joust
A Knight runs a military camp. Clearing debris digs up ore, and ore goes to the Forge to become lances, shields and armor.
Gear wears out. Every piece has a durability rating that drops 1 point when you win a joust and 2 when you lose, so losing costs you twice as fast. At zero it breaks, and you either repair it or forge a new one.
The joust is turn based and runs on a Rage meter. You spend Rage on strikes, blocks and counters, and a win pays out Glory plus tournament ranking points.
Social play and courtship
Most farming games treat neighbors as a daily gift button. This one runs your progress through the other role, so both halves of the player base actually need each other.
Feeding and buffing. A Lady visits a Knight's camp and leaves cooked dishes on his dining table. He picks up the health and attack buffs and takes them into tournament jousts.
Victory dedication. When that Knight wins, he dedicates it to his Lady Idol. She gets Super Fertilizers, which jump her crop timers forward on the spot.
Cross-estate clearing. Some obstacles only the other role can move. Big boulders on a Lady's land need a Knight to visit, and debris piles on a Knight's camp drop treasure chests when a Lady clears them.
The Fancy mini-game
At level 8 you unlock Fancy, also called Desire. A Lady and a Knight play a memory game on a grid, flipping tiles with power-ups like Bouquets and Perfumes to find hidden target items. Winning gives you passive health regeneration and decorative tokens, and it moves the pair closer to an in-game betrothal.
Progression, energy and event maps
Energy is the ceiling on everything else. The bar refills on its own at 1 point every 3 minutes, so how much you get done in a session is mostly decided before you sit down.
| Currency | Where it comes from | What it buys |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Coins | Farming and quests | Basic seeds and buildings |
| Rubies | Premium currency | Premium buildings, instant crafting skips, energy refills |
Glory is the third track. Jousts, social visits and good outfits all feed it, and it raises your title rank, which is what opens the higher tournament brackets.
Every two weeks Vizor opens a temporary adventure map. Willow Pass and Storm Cradle are two of them. Each one is its own story chapter with its own puzzles and decorative rewards, and each is only open for a limited time.
Where the free stuff fits: Rubies and energy are the two things the game meters hardest, and you can get both free from reward links and daily bonuses.
Frequently asked questions
Can you change your character's gender after starting?
No. Picking a Lady or a Knight is permanent, and it decides your crafting systems, your buildings and your job on the social side of the game. If you want to play the other one, you need a separate account on the Vizor Portal.
Is Knights & Brides available as a mobile app download?
No. It's an HTML5 browser game with no app on the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can still play on a phone or tablet by opening it in a mobile browser, where it uses touch controls.
How do you get free Rubies in Knights & Brides?
You get free Rubies for leveling up, finishing quest chapters, completing item collections in the Vault and claiming daily login streak rewards. Vizor also posts temporary gift links on the official Facebook fan page.
How does equipment durability work for Knights?
Every lance, shield and piece of armor has a set durability rating. Winning a joust costs 1 point, losing costs 2. At zero it breaks and you have to re-craft it in the Forge.
