Merge Fables Overview October 2026

Merge Fables is a free merge game for iPhone, iPad and Android. You drag matching pieces together to make better ones. Then you use what you make to build castles and fill out an island full of fairy tale characters. Microfun Limited, a studio in Hong Kong, makes it.

The studio posts free gift links on its Facebook page. Our Merge Fables free energy page lists them as cards, and each card shows the day it was posted.

    The island and its characters

You're on an island the studio calls full of stories. As you merge, you meet fairy tale characters, and the twist is that they're getting used to modern life. Each new one you meet gets you closer to the island you want to build.

The store page says the more you look around, the more surprises turn up, and there are thousands of different pieces to merge.

Merge three or wait for five

You merge three matching pieces to get one better piece. You can do that right away, or you can hold off until you've got five of the same piece and get a bonus. The studio says it plainly: the decision is yours.

Waiting means those pieces sit on your board in the meantime, and sometimes you need the room now. The store sums it up as mastering the art of huge matches for the biggest rewards.

    Stones, trees and mist

If you've run out of things to merge, you can mine the stones, trees and more around the island. They give you new pieces to work with.

Parts of the island are hidden under mist. Clear it away and you'll get more room to build and decorate, plus treasures to hunt for.

    Energy and rubies

The shop sells two main things, Energy and rubies. You can see both in Apple's purchase list: a Pouch of Rubies for $1.99, a Sack for $4.99 and a Chest for $9.99, next to Energy Bundles from $2.99 to $9.99.

You don't have to buy them. The studio's Facebook page hands out gift links, and its quizzes give Energy and gems to winners. Google says the game also has ads.

    Events and event islands

Some events open a whole new island, and it's yours to play on. Apple's purchase list even has an Island Event Gold Ticket for $4.99.

In late October 2026, Apple lists three. In Halloween Hijinks, Ginger collects candy and other rewards. In Lionfish Season, you merge Lionfish to get pearls that clear the mist on Mermaid Isle, and the top piece earns a Lionfish avatar. In Vampire Island, Prince takes on a castle full of vampires, and joining unlocks a new island. Google Play also lists an event that unlocks a new decoration island.

    Quizzes on Facebook

The official Facebook page has 389K followers. Most posts are picture quizzes, like finding the right photo or spotting the missing part. Comment your answer and your game ID for a chance to win. The studio later posts the winners' names in a comment.

Each post also starts with a link that says to get your Special Gifts, and you don't need to win the quiz to use it. Those links are the cards on our free energy list.

    Getting help

The studio's replies on Google Play point players to the help inside the game. You'll find it in Settings, at the top left corner, under Feedback. You can also email [email protected]. That's the address on the App Store, the Google Play support box and the Facebook page.

    Common questions

    Is Merge Fables free?

Yes. It's free on the App Store and Google Play, and it runs on Windows PCs through Google Play Games. There's a shop inside, and Google says the game has ads. Apple's top purchases run from $1.99 to $9.99, mostly rubies and Energy. You don't have to buy anything to keep playing.

How do I get free Energy in Merge Fables?

Watch the studio's Facebook page. Its quiz posts start with a link that says to get your Special Gifts, and anyone can tap it. You can also comment the quiz answer with your game ID for a chance at a prize. Our free energy page lists the links as cards.

Is Merge Fables okay for kids?

Google Play rates it Everyone, and Apple rates it 9+. Apple says it has loot boxes, which are prizes you get without seeing what's inside first, plus infrequent contests. Real money can be spent in it, so parents may want to turn on purchase limits on the phone or tablet.

Can I play Merge Fables on a computer?

Yes, two ways. A Mac with an Apple M1 chip or newer can run the App Store version on macOS 11.0 or later. On Windows, use Google Play Games. Google lists Windows 10 (version 2004), 8 GB of memory, a 4-core processor and 10 GB free on an SSD.
