How to claim a gift

Nothing to type here. The gift is attached to the link itself.

Sign in to Facebook first. These are Facebook links, and they need to know who you are before they hand anything over.
Tap the newest one. The studio says a bonus lasts two days, so work down from the top of the list.
Let it open Hedgies. The link carries the gift into the game with it.
Check the game once it loads. If nothing turns up, the reasons are further down this page.

Two pages, two versions

Hedgies runs in two places, on your phone and on Facebook. Each one has its own Facebook page posting its own gift links, and that catches people out.

The links look alike, but each one carries the ID of the version it belongs to. Grab one from the wrong page and it won't do much for the farm you've been building.

Are there promo codes?

No. Neither store listing mentions a box to type a code into, and neither of the studio's Facebook pages has posted one. Gift links are how this game hands out freebies.

So treat any site offering Hedgies codes carefully. There's nothing from the studio saying where you'd even enter one.

Other ways to earn

The farm pays you anyway, gift links or not. These keep going on the days when nothing has been posted.

Staying safe

Only two Facebook pages post real Hedgies gifts, and both belong to the studio. Anything else offering free Hedgies energy isn't from them.

No Hedgies gift ever needs your password, your card details, or a download from outside the app stores. If a site asks for any of that, close it. And there's no such thing as a Hedgies energy generator, so a site promising one is trying to steal your login.

Why a gift didn't land

A link that does nothing is nearly always one of these, and none of them mean there's a problem with your farm.

The two days ran out

The studio puts a two-day window on each bonus. An older post has almost certainly passed it, so work from the top of the list.

You weren't signed in to Facebook

The link can't tell who you are, so it has nothing to give. Sign in, then tap it again.

It was for the other version

A link from the Facebook page feeds the Facebook game, not the one on your phone. The two keep separate farms.

How do I get free energy in Hedgies?

Tap the studio's gift links while you're signed in to Facebook, and keep at the quests and seasonal events in the game. Visiting other farms and trading goods brings in materials you can't grow yourself.

How long do Hedgies gift links last?

Two days. That's the studio's own number, posted alongside the links, which is why this list runs newest first.

Are there Hedgies promo codes?

No. Neither store listing mentions a place to enter one, and the studio hands out gift links on Facebook instead.

Do the gift links work on iPhone and Android?

They're posted for the phone and tablet game, so either one. You do need to be signed in to Facebook, and the App Store version of Hedgies has been sitting on a 2024 build for two years.

Why didn't my gift show up?

Usually the two-day window passed, or you weren't signed in to Facebook, or the link came from the page for the Facebook version rather than the phone one. Those two run separate farms.
