Merge your energy items first
This is the tip most people miss. When energy items turn up on your board, don't tap them one by one. Merge them together into a bigger one first, because the bigger item is worth more than the small ones you put into it.
Time your level ups
Levelling up refills your energy. So if you can see you're close to a new level, spend what you're carrying first. If you level up while your bar is already full, that refill is wasted.

How to make your energy last
Getting more energy is half of it. The other half is not wasting what you have.
Know what you're building before you tap. Check what the customers are actually asking for, then produce toward those items. Tapping generators just to see what comes out is the fastest way to empty the bar and fill your board with things nobody ordered.
Keep board space free. A full board stops you producing at all, and then you're merging junk just to make room. Clear as you go.

A link only pays once. Cards you've opened before turn to CLAIMED on this page, so you can see which ones are still worth a tap.
The link is old
Reward links don't stay up forever. Work from the top of the list down, because the newest links are the ones at the top.
You opened it on a computer
These links hand off to the app on your phone. On a desktop browser there's nothing for them to open, so nothing happens.
The app is missing or out of date
Install Gossip Harbor from the App Store or Google Play first, and update it if you haven't opened it in a while, so your phone knows what to do with the link.
