Your poker buddies list in WSOP is how you keep track of friends and players you want to stay connected with in the game. Sometimes you need to clean it up, whether someone stopped playing, you had a falling out at the table, or you just want to trim the list. Here’s how to remove a player.

What Is a Poker Buddy in WSOP?
Poker Buddies are the friends or other players you’ve added to your social list in WSOP. They show up in your Buddies tab so you can see when they’re online, join their tables, or send chips. It’s basically WSOP’s in-game friends list.
Step 1: Open Your Poker Buddies List
From the WSOP main lobby, find and tap the Buddies or Friends section. It’s usually accessible from the bottom navigation bar or from the main menu. Once you’re in the Buddies tab, you’ll see a list of all the players you’re currently connected with.
Step 2: Find the Player You Want to Remove
Scroll through the list to find the specific poker buddy you want to remove. If you have a long list, look for a search bar within the Buddies section to find them faster by name.
Step 3: Access Their Player Options
Tap on the player’s name or avatar to open their profile or a quick-action menu. You should see a set of options for that player. Look for Remove Friend, Remove Buddy, or Unfriend. The exact label depends on the version of the app you’re running.
Step 4: Confirm the Removal
The app will ask you to confirm before removing the player. This is a safety step so you don’t accidentally remove someone. Confirm the action and they’ll be removed from your Buddies list immediately.
What Happens After You Remove Someone?
Once removed, that player won’t appear in your Buddies list anymore. You won’t see their online status, and the easy access to their table or profile will be gone. They can still end up at your table through normal matchmaking since removing them from your friends list doesn’t block them from the game. If you also want to prevent being placed at the same table, you may need to use the Block option separately.
Can They Still See You?
If you remove someone from your Buddies list but they haven’t removed you, the situation becomes one-sided in their contacts. WSOP doesn’t typically notify the other player when they’re removed, so it’s a quiet process. They may eventually notice you’re gone from their list, but there’s no alert sent to them.
Re-Adding Someone Later
If you change your mind, you can always re-add a player later. Search for them by name or player ID and send a new buddy request. There’s no penalty for removing and re-adding players.
Managing your Buddies list is a minor thing but it keeps your contacts organized and makes the social side of WSOP easier to navigate. A clean list means the players you actually want to play with are easy to find.
